Tricoroll
The Tricoroll is a small lure, perfect for trout fishing. It is available in 2 sizes, 47 and 55 millimeters. The 47 size weighs 3.2 grams, while the 55 version comes in 2 versions. The first one weighs 3.5 grams and is called S for sinking, while the second one weighs 4.5 grams and is called HW for heavy weight.
Thanks to its high density for its small size, the Tricoroll casts at a good distance and with precision. This is one of the key points to fish small rivers and be able to cast where the trout are holding. The swim of this swimmer fish is very tight, and you have to bring it back at a good pace for it to take effect.
It is therefore a lure that is best brought in continuously, rod up. It is possible to jerk the retrieve by jerking the rod tip to give the lure a little more life.
A light, L-type rod (2-8 grams) with a size 1000 reel is the ideal combination for this lure.
A wide choice of colors
Even if it is possible to use the tricoroll to look for perch, chub or asp, it is for trout fishing that its use dominates. The range of colors proposed by Illex, very accessible to trout fishing, with imitations of trout, minnow or even gudgeon, proves it!
The lures are of good quality and the color holds well over time, even after repeated contact with rocks. The lure is sold with small treble hooks, however, its sinking density allows to replace them with singles without altering its underwater action.
Ryushin and Flat
The Tricoroll, which is the original version of this lure, is declined in 2 other versions called Ryushin and Flat. The Ryushin is a heavier version, while the Flat version is more compressed, to sink faster.
