A unique concept!

Open to brands of boats, fishing equipment and electronics, the Grand Pavois Fishing is a promotional event that aims to promote sporty and responsible leisure fishing. No-kill fishing is compulsory, two half days of fishing, pre-fishing sessions and trial sessions and demonstrations at sea for all enthusiasts!
A dedicated fishing area
The will of the Grand Pavois Fishing is to promote a fishing in the respect of the safety rules, located in the area of the Pertuis Rochelais. Two fishing areas are proposed, one in the Pertuis d'Antioche and one in the Pertuis Breton, in case of bad weather from the south-west under the wind of the Ile de Ré. These areas were chosen with the help of local fishing guides.
A new participation record for the 2022 edition?
We can ask ourselves the question, because already 27 crews have confirmed their participation knowing that some leaders of the sector have not yet confirmed their presenceâeuros¦
Needless to say that this edition of the Grand Pavois Fishing will be exceptional, so much it is expected! Indeed, let's recall that the 2021 edition had to be cancelled because of bad weather conditions preventing the organization to rely neither on the main area, nor on the fallback area. The gusts of more than 30 knots and the sea had been too strong for the competitionâ?¦ Fortunately, the fleet present had the whole week to do sea trials, pre-fishing and onboard training in electronics.
Test new products at sea and follow onboard training courses

The brands of boats, engines and equipment are not mistaken: the Fishing & Grand Pavois Fishing Area is an essential time to present the new boats, engines and equipment (fittings, electronics, various materialsâ?¦) especially since the pro-staffs, fishing guides and members of the brands are present on the water and on land, to share with the enthusiasts the advantages of the products presented, their passions and their techniques...
- The first one is the possibility offered to the visitors to test the boats, engines and equipments at sea on the boats registered within the framework of the Grand Pavois Fishing. The will? To allow the brands to take advantage of the presence of their pro-staffs and to test perfectly equipped units at sea for the visitors of the Grand Pavois La Rochelle. A real highlight and sharing time for enthusiasts who can thus, in contact with the best, discover the new models (boats, engines, equipmentâeuros¦) presented. The boats registered in the Grand Pavois Fishing will be available for sea trials every day of the show, except Saturday and Sunday morning (mornings reserved for the competition). Appointment to be taken with the brands on the stands.
- The second asset is the possibility of following onboard electronics training courses and discovering new products at sea, with the presence of the biggest brands accompanied by their pro-staffs. Make an appointment with the brands for sea trips or onboard electronics training.
- The third asset is the possibility on land to discover in the Fishing Area, kayaks and boats specifically developed and equipped for amateurs and neophytes, without forgetting the presence of stands of electronic brands, equipment and materials for all types of fishing.
- The fourth asset is to have a space of animations with podium and basin of demonstration in order to share techniques of fishing, demonstrations of materials and innovations, without forgetting to meet big names of the world of fishing and associations committed to preserve the resource and to encourage a responsible practice.
